A Monaco-based luxury commodities and precious metals company, RM Trading Co., has appointed Ghanaian mining and trade professional Dr. Steven Blessing Ackah as its Strategic Metal Trading and Diplomatic Relations Advisor to Ghana.

The appointment, announced in Monaco and Accra on May 26, 2026 is expected to deepen collaboration in the precious metals sector while promoting responsible mineral sourcing, investment and diplomatic engagement between Monaco and Ghana.
Dr. Ackah will champion three transformative pillars: Elite Diplomacy: Driving high-level, bilateral trade and political synergies between the Principality of Monaco and the Republic of Ghana .
RM Trading Co. is headed by Alberto Repossi, a renowned jeweller closely associated with Monaco’s royal establishment. Repossi was appointed official supplier to H.S.H. Prince Rainier III in 1994 and later honoured as Chevalier de l’Ordre de Saint Charles in 2000 before being elevated to Officier de l’Ordre de Saint Charles by H.S.H. Prince Albert II in 2012.
The company said Dr. Ackah’s appointment forms part of its broader strategy to expand ethical precious metals trading and strengthen investment corridors across Africa, with Ghana identified as a strategic entry point due to its strong mining industry and growing investor appeal.
Dr. Ackah, who has extensive experience in Africa’s mining and natural resources sector, is expected to lead engagements focused on bilateral trade promotion, diplomatic cooperation and the development of transparent mineral supply chains.
According to the company, his role will also include facilitating premium-grade precious metals transactions and supporting partnerships that align with international compliance and sustainability standards.
RM Trading Co., which is a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, has in recent years expanded its global commodities footprint following the acquisition of the Repossi jewellery brand.
Speaking about the appointment, Alberto Repossi noted that Dr. Ackah is a key strategic partner capable of unlocking new opportunities in Africa’s mineral economy.
